Maintenance Technician - EPA Certified

Weinstein Properties is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician - EPA Certified for a stable, long-term opportunity at a well-maintained community in the Ballantyne area of Charlotte, NC. The position offers a $1,000 sign‑on bonus, competitive pay, and excellent benefits.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders in occupied and vacant apartments
• Assist with apartment turns and make‑readies
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliances, and carpentry items
• Help maintain the overall appearance of the community, including grounds, amenities, and pool areas
• Work collaboratively with the maintenance team to keep the property running smoothly

Requirements

• At least 5 years of apartment or residential maintenance experience
• EPA Certification (Type II or Universal)
• Solid hands‑on HVAC troubleshooting, repair and replacement experience
• Strong customer service mindset and pride in your work
• Ability to work independently while being a reliable team player
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment and prioritizing tasks
• Reliable transportation
• Comfortable using computers and mobile devices (Outlook, work order systems, etc.)
• Ability to drive a golf cart
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work indoors/outdoors year‑round
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders
• Experience using hand and power tools
• Background check required

Pay

• Base pay: $24/hour (and up, depending on experience)
• On‑call pay: $150/week (calls or no calls)
• Additional $150 per holiday on‑call
• Quarterly bonus: up to $980 based on property and team performance
