About the Role
Primary Talent Partners has a new contract opening for a Maintenance Technician II with our medical device client in Grand Rapids, MI. This is a 4-month contract with a potential for extension. Please note this is a 3rd shift position.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
- Performs installation, maintenance, and repairs on line manufacturing or plant equipment.
- Locates and diagnoses failures, replaces defective components, and performs basic troubleshooting using standard electronic equipment, detailed drawings, diagrams, sketches, specifications, prints, manuals, and verbal and/or written instructions.
- Maintains appropriate maintenance and repair logs.
- Uses a variety of hand, power, and test tools and equipment.
- May redesign optical, vacuum, electrical, electronic, or mechanical systems for incorporation on existing manufacturing equipment.
- May estimate labor and equipment costs and prepare requisitions as required.
- Provides technical support in areas such as production, operations, maintenance, safety, testing, process improvement or product development.
- Uses schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions or defined plans to perform testing and troubleshooting on electronic or mechanical components, equipment or systems.
- Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates technical data using established formulae and procedures, and performs detailed mathematical calculations.
- For higher levels, may suggest and/or make improvements to optimize work processes.
Qualifications
- Established and productive individual contributor, working under moderate supervision.
- Performs tests, interprets data and develops reports.
- Performs intermediate technical activities requiring judgment and decision-making.
- Work consists of technical tasks that are typically routine.
- Technical problems faced are generally routine, but may require interpretation of procedures or policies to resolve problems.
- May be required to highlight areas of concerns/problems in own job area.
- Communicates typically with internal contacts.
- Obtains and provides technical information requiring some explanation or interpretation.
- May provide guidance and assistance to new or entry-level employees.
Requirements
- Requires basic job knowledge of systems, techniques, and procedures obtained through prior work experience or education.
- Requires a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; may require vocational or technical education or certification in addition to prior work experience.
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must be able to sit on Primary Talent Partners W2 without sponsorship.
Pay
$28.00 - $34.00/hr; W2 contract, no PTO, no Benefits. ACA-compliant supplemental package available for enrollment.
