Maintenance Technician - Electrical, Plumbing & Mechanical

About the role

This role is responsible for performing maintenance, repairs, and upgrades on custom production trailers and specialty vehicles. It is ideal for someone with strong electrical, plumbing, carpentry, fabrication, and general mechanical experience.

Responsibilities

• Service and maintain custom trailers and RV’s.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain RV appliances, LPG system, A/C system.
• Install electrical wiring and balance electrical load and entertainment and satellite systems (Winegard, Motosat, Kingdone).
• Repair and maintain cabinetry.
• Install, repair, and maintain braking and towing systems.
• Diagnose issues and determine best course of action to remedy the problem(s).
• Provide and document complete diagnostic tests and repair/replacement services to fleet management team.
• Track all parts and materials used in repairs/replacements.
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance.
• Communicate regularly with fleet management team on issues and update on project completion regularly.
• Perform pre-delivery inspection.
• Assemble RV structure, wall, and roof, fresh water/waste plumbing.
• Basic welding tasks.
• Plan workload according to oral and written directions and complete assignments on or before the scheduled completion date.
• Maintain interior and exterior cleanliness of the lot and building at all times; perform these duties when vehicles are not available.
• Process all paperwork regarding equipment damage and report to management.
• Dispose of hazardous waste materials properly.
• Follow and adhere to safety rules, regulations, and the proper use of equipment relevant to each job skill and qualification.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Prior experience working on RVs or Trailers not required.
• Have 4+ years of repair and maintenance experience and/or other relevant experience, including electrical, plumbing, and mechanical work.
• Experience in several of the following is preferred: Electrical troubleshooting and wiring, Plumbing repair and installation, Basic mechanical repairs, Carpentry or cabinetry, Welding or fabrication, HVAC or appliance repair, Trailer, fleet, marine, construction equipment, RV, or automotive maintenance.
• Be flexible to support rental operations during non-business hours, including holidays, weekends, and evenings, as needed.
• Possess basic computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Be able to multitask and manage several projects simultaneously.
• Be detail-oriented and able to meet or exceed deadlines.
• Possess a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
• Have working knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions of the trade.
• Be reliable and possess a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and a desire for continual professional growth.

Physical Requirements

Heavy Work requires the ability to continually life, push, or pull at least 50+ pounds of product. Physical activity requires, but is not limited to: climbing, crouching, grasping, hearing, kneeling, lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching, repetitive motions, standing, stooping, talking, walking. Work Environment Activities include regularly working in outside weather conditions, exposure to extremes of temperature, visibility, wet and/or humid conditions and vibrations. Noise level in work environment is usually loud. Dust, mechanical hazards, moving objects, operating vehicle, and shift work.
