Maintenance Technician -Electrical Experience Preferred

The Hilton Appleton Paper Valley Hotel is seeking a Maintenance Technician with strong electrical experience to support the operation of our hotel, restaurants, meeting spaces, and guest facilities. Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, lighting, outlets, and equipment
• Perform preventive maintenance throughout the hotel
• Respond to guest room and building maintenance requests
• Aid in HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and other facility repairs
• Support renovation and improvement projects
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with applicable codes
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests and team members

Requirements

• Electrical experience required; licensed electrician a plus
• Commercial, hotel, or facilities maintenance experience preferred
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility to respond to occasional emergency maintenance needs
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various environments

Qualifications

• Knowledge of all maintenance trades, including basic electrical, plumbing, mechanical and carpentry
• Basic mechanical aptitude for operation and repair of hotel equipment
• Must be able to recognize potential safety hazards and security problems in the hotel and act upon each accordingly
• Comprehensive knowledge of the hotel's layout, sleeping and function rooms
• Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy to defuse anger and collect accurate information
• Ability to listen effectively, speak, read and write English clearly, as there will be interaction with guests and other team members
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, while remaining flexible and efficient while maintaining a pleasant cheerful demeanor
• Ability to follow written and or verbal instructions
