The Role
As a Maintenance Technician at A1 Garage Door, you will handle our Annual Maintenance Club Tune Ups. Your responsibilities include completing garage door inspections, following a checklist, making call-back visits, educating customers, and assisting with load-outs.

- Moves fast, works on all tasks regardless of size
- Experience with repairs and maintenance in home service industry, manufacturing, automotive, etc.
- Not preferred to work without customers
- Not resistant to manual labor
- Not likely to follow instructions given in class
Basic Requirements
- Be nice!
- Able to bend, climb, kneel, and stand for long periods
- Physically able to lift 50 lbs
- Valid driver’s license for at least 3 years with a clean record
- Passes a pre-employment drug test and criminal background check
- Knowledgeable in basic software (navigation apps, Google, tablets, computers)
- Basic knowledge of hand tools
- GED or high school diploma not required, but good reading and math skills are needed
- Professional appearance required
- Eligible to legally work in the United States
Journey of a Maintenance Technician
To start your journey, you will participate in a 4-week training program at the A1 Training Academy in Phoenix, AZ. A1 covers flights and accommodations during this period. Upon completion, you will receive a $1,000 bonus and advance to a junior maintenance technician position, performing duties in your local market.
Interview Process

- Recruiter interview (up to 45 minutes)
- Interview with Area Manager (approximately 30 minutes)
- Ride-along with a technician (half-day)
