Maintenance Technician - Crestowwd Apartments

About the role
As a Maintenance Technician, you will drive resident satisfaction and property performance through timely, high-quality work. You’ll collaborate with the Maintenance Supervisor and team to prioritize tasks, maintain property value, and ensure a safe environment. This role involves a variety of tasks in a dynamic setting, with opportunities to grow into a Maintenance Supervisor position.
Responsibilities
- Respond to and complete work orders promptly and with quality to ensure resident satisfaction.
- Maintain clean, safe, and attractive common areas, including pools, laundry rooms, clubhouses, and parking lots.
- Coordinate with the Maintenance Supervisor and team to prioritize daily tasks.
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with residents, guests, and vendors.
- Perform preventative maintenance to preserve property value.
- Prepare vacant apartments for move-in to ensure resident satisfaction.
- Identify and address safety hazards, hazardous conditions, or maintenance needs on the property.
- Maintain and repair critical building and site systems.
- Use software applications to track work and personal performance.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of general maintenance or repair experience, preferably in multifamily or a related industry.
- EPA Type I, Type II, or Universal certification strongly preferred.
- Trade skills in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, drywall, framing, painting, roofing, cabinetry, pools, or appliance repair.
- Trade licensing preferred but not required.
- Must own hand tools.
- Must live within 30 minutes of the community.
- Willingness to work a varied schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Dependable transportation and ability to accommodate a rotating on-call schedule.
- Ability to perform physical requirements of the job, such as lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling objects up to 50 pounds.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
- Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification is a plus.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to walk, stand, sit, and climb stairs for office work, apartment inspections, and sales tours (60% walking/climbing, 30% sitting).
- Frequent need to lift or carry objects between 25–75 pounds (33% to 66% of the time).
- Occasional need to lift or carry objects between 75–150 pounds (1% to 33% of the time).
- Rare need to lift or carry objects over 150 pounds (less than 5% of the time).
