Maintenance Technician - Cottages at Abbott Station

Community Name: Cottages at Abbott Station – 176 units. Schedule: Monday - Friday with on-call requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare units for move-ins with electrical, plumbing, carpentry, masonry, and painting repairs.
• Complete work orders within 24 hours as directed by the Community Manager and/or Service Manager and report any emergency work orders in a timely manner.
• Responsible for 24-hour emergency maintenance and on-call duties.
• Complete grounds pick-up, sweeping, and light landscaping such as mulch and sprinkler head replacements when possible.
• Manage snow removal (CO, KS, UT) or hurricane preparation and clean-up (FL).
• Demonstrate strong customer service skills and maintain clear, professional communication with residents, vendors, and team members.
• Maintain and update logs as needed.
• Perform appliance repairs and unit inspections.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 1+ years of relevant experience required.
• OSHA, EPA, and CPO license/certifications preferred.
• Written, verbal, and oral communication skills.
• Knowledge of facilities management and mechanical equipment.
• Pass criminal background screening prior to employment.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license and up-to-date vehicle insurance is required.
• If minimum qualifications are met during resume screening, the Wonderlic pre-employment assessment is required.
