Essential Job Functions
- Exhibits strong commitment to the service needs of the internal and external customer.
- Strong communication skills with commercial team.
- Works well with both leasing, office, and maintenance staff members.
- Represents the company in a professional and courteous manner at all times.
- Performs routine maintenance tasks, service requests, preventative maintenance to properties and common areas as well as any other duties assigned.
- Shares on-call responsibility (limited).
- Diagnoses and repairs HVAC, electrical and plumbing related issues.
Job Requirements
- Demonstrate the appropriate and safe use of standard hand and power tools.
- Lifting and moving of heavy items (water heaters, appliances, rock salt, etc.).
- Performs routine, preventative maintenance.
- Knowledge and practice of a variety of building trade skills.
- Work on step/extension ladders and roofs while following safety protocols.
- Keep track of inventory and maintain a clean and stocked shop.
- Complete work orders in a timely manner.
- Identify safety and hazardous conditions and communicate any issues.
- Follow company operational and safety procedures.
- A positive, team-oriented attitude and understand and follow Westover Companies core values.
- Reliable work ethic and dependable transportation; must maintain valid driver's license and working vehicle.
