Maintenance Technician - Commercial

Essential Job Functions

• Exhibits strong commitment to the service needs of the internal and external customer.
• Strong communication skills with commercial team.
• Works well with both leasing, office, and maintenance staff members.
• Represents the company in a professional and courteous manner at all times.
• Performs routine maintenance tasks, service requests, preventative maintenance to properties and common areas as well as any other duties assigned.
• Shares on-call responsibility (limited).
• Diagnoses and repairs HVAC, electrical and plumbing related issues.

Job Requirements

• Demonstrate the appropriate and safe use of standard hand and power tools.
• Lifting and moving of heavy items (water heaters, appliances, rock salt, etc.).
• Performs routine, preventative maintenance.
• Knowledge and practice of a variety of building trade skills.
• Work on step/extension ladders and roofs while following safety protocols.
• Keep track of inventory and maintain a clean and stocked shop.
• Complete work orders in a timely manner.
• Identify safety and hazardous conditions and communicate any issues.
• Follow company operational and safety procedures.
• A positive, team-oriented attitude and understand and follow Westover Companies core values.
• Reliable work ethic and dependable transportation; must maintain valid driver's license and working vehicle.
