Maintenance Technician- Chillicothe, OH

Responsibilities

• Perform interior and exterior repairs to apartment homes, buildings, common areas, and grounds.
• Complete apartment turns and prepare vacant units for new residents.
• Diagnose and repair HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, appliances, carpentry, and general building maintenance issues.
• Respond to maintenance service requests promptly and professionally.
• Inspect completed work and coordinate with outside contractors as needed.
• Assist with grounds maintenance, seasonal duties, and snow removal when necessary.
• Maintain maintenance equipment, tools, and shop in a clean and organized condition.
• Ensure all work complies with company policies and applicable safety regulations.
• Provide courteous, professional service to residents, vendors, and team members.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED is required.
• A trade school or an associate degree in a related field is a plus.
• A valid driver's license with an acceptable motor vehicle record is required.
• Two years of apartment maintenance or related maintenance experience are preferred.
• An HVAC Certification is preferred.
• A working knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, carpentry, and general building maintenance is required.
• The ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple priorities is essential.
• Strong communication and customer service skills are required.
• The ability to interact professionally with residents, vendors, and fellow employees is important.
• It is required to provide your own basic hand tools required to perform apartment maintenance.

Pay and Benefits

Schedule

Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Participation in an on-call rotation for after-hours maintenance emergencies is required.
