Maintenance Technician- Carmel
About the role
We are looking for a Hotel Maintenance Person to take care of our hotel’s infrastructure. You will manage maintenance personnel and plan various renovation and repair projects. In this role, you should be organized and proactive. Familiarity with electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems is essential. The hotel is located at Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Lebanon, 410 Gateway Ave, Lebanon, IN 46052, United States. The pay rate for this position is $18-$26 per hour. We are looking for someone to join immediately.
Responsibilities
- Inspect hotel regularly to ensure it meets safety standards
- Arrange for routine maintenance in hotel rooms, lobbies and facilities
- Organize repair projects in a manner that does not disturb guests
- Plan and oversee renovations and construction
- Act fast to resolve emergency issues (e.g. power outages)
- Find ways to reduce hotel operating costs and conserve energy
- Supervise team of Maintenance Technicians and Janitors
- Manage relationships with contractors and service providers
Requirements
Familiarity with electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems is essential. The ideal candidate will be organized, proactive, and committed to meeting health and safety standards.
Skills
The ability to troubleshoot issues and fix faults efficiently, as well as carry out preventive maintenance, is required. Experience with maintenance personnel management and renovation/project planning is also necessary.
Additional Responsibilities as Maintenance Technician
- Perform routine maintenance and repair of building systems including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical equipment
- Conduct daily inspections of rooms, common areas, and equipment to ensure everything is functioning properly
- Respond quickly to maintenance requests and breakdowns (guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house)
- Troubleshoot issues and fix faults efficiently to minimize downtime
- Carry out preventive maintenance as per schedule
- Maintain proper records/logs of repairs, maintenance work, and inventory
- Ensure all work is completed following safety standards and company policies
- Assist in installation of new equipment or fixtures
- Coordinate with external vendors/contractors when required
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
- Support emergency situations (power failure, water leakage, etc.)
- Ensure overall cleanliness and upkeep of property infrastructure
