Who you are

You keep it all running. You are the person who hears a problem before it becomes one. You fix it right the first time, take pride in the work, and leave a resident's day better than you found it.

At Roundhouse, our mission is simple and serious: putting humanity into housing. Since 2008, we have grown into a developer and manager of diverse real estate across four states, with more than 10,000 multifamily units and over $2B in assets under management. We challenge the status quo, build communities people are proud to call home, and hire people who care about doing the work right. This role sits at the center of that promise—the condition of our communities is what residents feel every single day, and you are the one who keeps it strong.

Our culture

  • One Team: We put people first, work with humility, and celebrate wins together.
  • Self-Starter: We take initiative, own outcomes, and push ideas forward with energy and purpose.
  • Forward Thinker: We stay curious, embrace change, and explore better ways to serve our residents and partners.
  • Commitment to Excellence: We set high standards, double-check details, and take pride in doing the work right.

Responsibilities

You are responsible for the upkeep, repair, and overall health of the property. On any given day you might:

  • Respond fast to work orders and see each one through to a high-quality finish.
  • Walk the property to catch maintenance issues early and keep it compliant with safety and health codes.
  • Protect curb appeal by keeping grounds, building exteriors, and common areas clean and functional.
  • Partner with the Maintenance Supervisor to prioritize tasks, approve purchases, and coordinate vendors.
  • Keep clear records of the work you do, including materials, hours, and completion status.
  • Take your turn in the after-hours emergency on-call rotation and pitch in on snow and ice removal.
  • Stay on top of your maintenance software so every work order is current, accurate, and on time.
  • Follow all safety procedures in the Employee Handbook, SOPs, OSHA standards, and on-equipment labels.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least one year in general maintenance and repair work.
  • A working understanding of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, CPO, and carpentry systems.
  • Strong communication and a genuine customer-service mindset.
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • The physical capacity to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, stand and walk for long stretches, climb ladders, and work outdoors in all weather.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and property management software.

A Leg Up If You Have

  • Trade school or technical certification.
  • Onsite multifamily maintenance experience.
  • Experience with Yardi Voyager, RentCafe, AIRM, LEO, Appwork, or similar CRM tools.
