Maintenance Technician - Brine Department

About the Role

Adherence to and support of LANXESS Environmental, Health, and Safety policies. Support of the Maintenance Work Process including:

• Cutting, welding, steel fabrication, and pipe fitting
• Maintenance of centrifugal and positive displacement pumps, gearboxes, air/gas compressors, blowers, glass and glass-lined steel equipment, hydraulic systems, tanks, pressure vessels, mechanical seals, and all other process equipment
• Alignment of rotating equipment
• Troubleshooting equipment failures
• Accurate record keeping

Requirements

• High School Diploma (Technical degree preferred)
• Two (2) years or more mechanical experience (chemical/petrochemical experience is a plus)
• Ability to demonstrate precision repair and rebuild of rotating equipment, laser alignment, pipe fitting, and valve repair
• Excellent communication skills (written, oral, and comprehension)
• Strong computer skills
• Willingness to work scheduled/unscheduled overtime, call-outs, and weekend/holiday coverage as required
• Must complete Maintenance Training Course (10 volumes, TPC training material) per established schedule
• Willingness to learn and work in an ever-changing environment
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
• Valid driver’s license
