What You’ll Get To Do
- Conducting routine maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, unclogging drains, and fixing leaky faucets
- Performing minor repairs such as drywall patching, painting, and carpentry work
- Maintaining the property's grounds, including lawn care, snow removal and cleaning of common areas
- Responding to tenant requests for repairs and maintenance issues
- Carrying out regular inspections and identifying potential maintenance issues before they escalate
- Assisting with major repairs or renovations as needed
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent education required. Three to four years of experience can offset the minimum educational requirement.
- Two years of maintenance experience is required.
- Must have experience in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general maintenance.
- Previous experience in commercial or multi-unit residential property is desirable.
- The position requires effective oral and written communication skills.
- Maintains current license/certification and/or specialized skills in at least one (or more) of the following building trades: electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, fire protection, or mechanical.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
- Must live within 20 miles (30 minutes) from the property.
- Must be willing to be on-call 24/7.
- Must possess a general understanding of OSHA, fire prevention, and safety regulations.
Physical/Working Requirements
- Indoor/outdoor environment subject to changing conditions and temperatures exceeding 90 degrees at times
- Ability to lift 55 pounds independently and support team lifts with reasonable accommodations
- This job involves walking and standing for long periods as well as stooping, squatting, lifting, carrying, pushing, and climbing
- Possibility of contact with bloodborne pathogens and/or bodily fluids
