Maintenance Technician - Behavioral Health Setting

Highlands Behavioral Health System is an 86-bed, acute care psychiatric hospital located in Littleton, CO. The facility features individual units for adolescents, adults, and seniors, and offers inpatient acute care, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the maintenance of a safe, clean, and healthy physical environment for patients, staff, and guests of the facility.
• Maintain the organization’s grounds.
• Carry out routine building maintenance tasks.
• Prepare the facility for special functions.
• Respond in a timely manner to alarms and codes.
• Ensure the maintenance of a clean facility.
• Order, deliver, and inventory hospital supplies.
• Assist with inventory of patient belongings.
• Assist with keeping maintenance logs.
• Provide excellent customer service.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• One (1) year in a hospital environment preferred.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC equipment, electrical, plumbing, mechanical equipment, and plant operations.
• Familiarity with hand and power tools, and precision measuring and testing instruments.
• Ability to comprehend and perform oral and written instructions and procedures.
• Capability to adapt to varying workloads and work assignments on a constant basis.
• Possess a valid Colorado Driver’s License with a clear driving record to drive hospital vehicles.
