Maintenance Technician- Aventon Moorefield

Greystar is a leading real estate platform managing and operating over $300 billion of real estate in more than 265 markets globally. This Maintenance Technician position is located in Ashburn, Virginia.
Responsibilities
- Completes assigned work orders and preventative maintenance tasks.
- Prepares vacant apartment homes for leasing and new move-ins by completing the make-ready process.
- Accesses and returns materials, supplies, equipment, and tools from the maintenance department.
- Documents and tracks service requests in a timely, accurate, and complete manner.
- Maintains grounds, common areas, and amenities by performing tasks such as picking up trash, pressure-washing, cleaning, and painting.
- Supports cost-cutting initiatives by fixing rather than replacing parts when possible.
Other Responsibilities
- Complies with safety and risk-management policies by attending safety meetings, completing required training, and reporting accidents and incidents promptly.
- Periodically inspects work performed by contractors, vendors, and other service providers to ensure quality standards are met.
- Assists in conducting routine and periodic property inspections to identify safety and risk management concerns.
Physical Demands
- Standing, walking, sitting for extended periods, bending, stooping, climbing ladders, reaching, carrying objects, and crawling in confined areas.
- Working inside and outside in all weather conditions.
- Pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, or maneuvering weights of up to 25 pounds independently and 50 pounds with assistance.
- Rare or regular travel may be required.
- Flexible work schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Required Licenses or Certifications
- EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling (for Certified Service Technicians).
- All certifications as required by State and Local jurisdictions (for all Service Technicians).
- Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property (if applicable).
Pay
The hourly range for the position is $26.00 - $28.00. Additional compensation includes a quarterly or annual bonus program, and weekly, monthly, and/or quarterly bonus programs for onsite property positions.
