Maintenance Technician

About the Role

The equipment that runs a Whistle site is complex, constantly moving, and genuinely interesting. As a Maintenance Technician, you are the reason the site does not go down. You diagnose problems fast, fix them right, and leave things better than you found them. You will cover multiple sites across your market, which means no two days look the same, and the work is always real. No degree required—just mechanical curiosity and a willingness to go deep. We will teach you everything else.

Responsibilities

• Diagnosing and fixing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing problems; repairing or replacing defective parts.
• Conducting routine checks, servicing equipment, and performing scheduled upkeep to prevent breakdowns (preventive maintenance).
• Monitoring and maintaining HVAC, electrical, and other building systems.
• Regularly inspecting equipment and facilities to ensure safety and code compliance.
• Keeping detailed records of maintenance activities and repairs.
• Promptly responding to urgent maintenance requests (emergency response).
• Managing spare parts and tools.

Qualifications & Skills

• Proficiency with hand/power tools, diagnostics, and repair of mechanical, electrical, or plumbing systems.
• Strong problem-solving ability to identify issues and find effective solutions.
• Attention to detail for thorough inspections and accurate repairs.
• Physical capability to handle the demands of maintenance work.
• Effective communication for collaborating with teams and documenting work.
• High school diploma or GED required; relevant certifications or trade experience are a plus but not required.

This role involves working in multiple locations across a geographic market. It may require regular shifts, evenings, weekends, or on-call duty for emergencies.

Pay

Base pay range: $18.70 - $33.40 per hour.
