Key Responsibilities
- Perform regular inspections and preventative maintenance on guest rooms, including HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, and fixtures.
- Ensure that all preventative maintenance tasks are completed on schedule and in accordance with hotel standards.
- Identify potential maintenance issues before they become problems, taking corrective action as needed.
- Address maintenance requests and repairs in guest rooms promptly, ensuring minimal disruption to guests.
- Perform routine repairs and maintenance on room furnishings, fixtures, and equipment to maintain a high standard of appearance and functionality.
- Ensure guest rooms are safe, comfortable, and meet all hotel quality standards.
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of public areas, including lobbies, hallways, and recreational facilities, to ensure cleanliness and safety.
- Aid in maintaining the exterior of the property, including landscaping, parking areas, and lighting.
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for staff and guests.
- Maintain knowledge of hotel safety and emergency procedures, participating in drills and responding to emergencies as required.
Equipment & Tools Management
- Maintain an inventory of maintenance supplies and tools, ensuring they are organized and readily available.
- Report any equipment or tool deficiencies to the Maintenance Supervisor for prompt resolution.
- Keep maintenance workshop and storage areas clean and well-organized.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in maintenance-related fields is preferred.
- Proven experience in maintenance or a related field, preferably within the hospitality industry.
- Strong technical skills in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general repair.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair a variety of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and working in various weather conditions.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and regulatory compliance related to building maintenance.
