Maintenance Technician

About the role

This full-time position offers $20/hour and comprehensive benefits including dental, vision, a 401(k) with employer match, life and disability insurance, a $600 sign-on bonus paid out over 6 months, accrued paid time off following a waiting period, and an Employee Assistance Program (EAP).

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and maintenance such as plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, floor care, remodeling, appliance repair, snow removal, lawn care, general landscaping, and sprinkler repair.
• Assist programs to find resources, answer questions, and work with facility landlords when repairs are needed.
• Ensure the health and safety of individuals supported by TURN by using compassion, patience, professionalism, and good judgment while interacting with staff and clients during repairs, remodeling, inspections, and vendor meetings.

Requirements

• Some experience with general maintenance (plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting), floor care, remodeling, appliance repair, snow removal, lawn care, general landscaping, sprinkler repair, etc.
• Ability to repeatedly lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, work in all climates, climb heights not to exceed 30 feet, and access attics, crawlspaces, and other confined areas.
• Has own basic hand tools to use at work.
• Valid driver’s license, current motor vehicle insurance, and a clean driving record.
• Ability to travel to program sites throughout Utah.
• Strong problem-solving, leadership, and teamwork abilities.
• Experience working or interacting with individuals with developmental/intellectual disabilities.
