Duties/Responsibilities
- Perform routine building maintenance duties, including painting, minor electrical repairs, plumbing, carpentry, and heating and ventilation systems maintenance.
- Maintain machinery and equipment maintenance, including diagnosing and troubleshooting issues.
- Complete administrative duties, such as filling out forms and reporting maintenance statuses to supervisor.
- Comply with all safety and health regulations.
- Keep inventory of maintenance and cleaning supplies and equipment, and report needs to supervisor.
- Respond to emergency calls for maintenance and repairs as needed.
- Work with and maintain relationships with contracted vendors as necessary.
- Maintain focus on safety and adherence to policies that protect all employees.
- Aid in the development and implementation of new procedures to help with increasing productivity and efficiency.
- Monitor equipment, tools, and supplies to ensure machinery and tools needed are maintained properly and in good working condition.
- Promote self-improvement in assigned tasks and maintain a clean and safe work environment by sweeping, cleaning, and removing trash.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent is preferred.
- 1-3 years of relevant maintenance experience preferred.
- Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems (including hydraulic/pneumatic systems) is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Software (Outlook, Word, Excel) and Adobe.
- Knowledge working with Syspro or similar ERP software.
- Knowledge of tire and wheel industry desirable.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and other manuals and documents.
- Ability to work in a team and follow instructions from supervisor.
- Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and organize efficiently.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- May be required to work outside of normal work hours.
- May be required to travel to other facility locations.
Physical Requirements And Work Environment
- Must be able to continuously lift and move up to 75 pounds.
- Must be able to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving the entire body.
- This will include climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, carrying, bending, twisting, and stooping.
- Regularly exposed to fumes, allergens, or airborne particles, and outdoor weather conditions.
- May occasionally be exposed to mild chemicals.
- Occasionally exposed to electric powered equipment, conveyor belt and compressed air.
- The noise level in the work environment is moderate to high.
