Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Asset Manager and Property Managers to ensure efficient building and ground operations.
• Perform general repairs and maintenance, including locks, windows, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, and basic electrical work.
• Complete work orders promptly using property management software.
• Conduct property walks and inspections to identify maintenance needs.
• Maintain heating, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Ensure buildings remain safe and compliant with applicable codes.
• Aid with general upkeep, repairs, and other tasks as needed.
• Participate in an on-call rotation, including nights and weekends.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in facility management or a related field preferred.
• At least 2 years of maintenance experience.
• Working knowledge of building systems and maintenance practices.
• Ability to use maintenance tools and equipment safely and effectively.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency with maintenance management software and Microsoft Office preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift, move, or carry items over 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work indoors and outdoors in all types of weather.
• Must be able to shovel snow.
• Strong attention to detail and a positive, team-oriented attitude.

Pay

$22–$26 per hour, based on experience.

Schedule

Full-time, 40 hours per week
8-hour shifts
Weeknights and weekends as needed
On-call rotation required
