Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in general building maintenance or related field preferred
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry or general facility repair work
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Working knowledge of building systems, tools, and maintenance practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher), email, and internet applications
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
- Must be available to work occasional evenings, weekends, or on-call shifts as needed
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance and repair tasks assigned, including basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and facility upkeep
- Respond promptly to work orders and maintenance requests
- Aid with routine inspections of the facility to identify maintenance or safety concerns
- Support preventative maintenance tasks to ensure proper functioning of building systems
- Aid in setting up and breaking down spaces for operations, events, or program needs
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas, tools, and equipment
- Follow safety procedures and report hazards or major repair needs to the Lead Maintenance Technician immediately
- Aid with moving furniture, equipment, and supplies as needed
- Support outside contractors or vendors when they are on-site
- Complete assigned tasks efficiently while maintaining quality standards
