Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Manor at Blue Water Bay is an award-winning, 5-Star CMS-rated facility located in the beautiful resort area of Blue Water Bay, Niceville, FL. We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team.

Responsibilities

• Assists with all areas of maintenance, including heating and air, water, gas, electrical, mechanical, carpentry, repairs, painting, renovations, deep cleaning and overall physical plant care.
• Affords assistance in maintaining a log of repairs and associated costs.
• Identifies, diagnoses and assists with repairing technical and mechanical problems.
• Works closely with outside contractors and vendors.
• Affords assistance in ensuring compliance with building and safety codes.
• Affords assistance in maintaining facility grounds to ensure a neat and clean curb appeal.
• Affords assistance in ordering supplies and equipment for maintenance department.
• Affords assistance in emergency needs related to physical plant.
• Responsible for testing and maintenance of the power system to ensure entrances, exits, fire alarms, extinguishers and life support systems are operational at all times.
• Affords assistance in maintaining facility equipment to ensure safe operation.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate
• General knowledge of staffing and payroll related functions
• Computer skills including EMR, Email and Word/Excel
• Minimum of one year experience with physical plant, mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems; long-term care or other health care setting experience is preferred.

• Able to see, hear and communicate adequately
• Able to carry out fine motor skills
