Maintenance Technician
Principle Responsibilities and Position Purpose
Responsible for the day-to-day maintenance activities as directed and instructed by the Director of Engineering at the Lodge, Viking, and Condo properties.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain in good working order and condition all areas of hotel utilities and basic functions (i.e.) electrical, plumbing, telephone, HVAC, audio systems, outdoor irrigation, elevators, alarm systems, pool systems, and all Guest Room amenities requiring maintenance.
- Monitor the scope of work and pace of completion of tasks that come through the Work Order System. Timely completion is desirable, but discretion is important as to the management of time and resources.
- Adhere to the procedure and diligence regarding the system key functions.
- Attend to facilities maintenance needs.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies from residents or property management.
- Complete repairs involving carpentry, drywall, painting, minor appliance servicing, and basic plumbing/electrical work.
- Maintain cleanliness and order in shared spaces such as lobbies, hallways, fitness centers, and pool areas.
- Collaborate with contractors and vendors when specialized repairs or inspections are required.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety codes, building regulations, and company policies.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance tasks, repairs, inventory, and work orders.
Qualification Standards
- Education: High School graduate or equivalent required.
- Experience/Licenses or Certificates: 2+ years in similar role.
