Maintenance Technician

What You’ll Do as a Maintenance & Service Tech

• Perform regular/emergency service and routine annual maintenance on systems installed in attics, basements, and crawl spaces.
• Change filters.
• Confirm dehumidifiers are functioning properly.
• Change batteries and test alarms.
• Pull and reinstall dehumidifiers and sump pumps.
• Dig for drain lines and outlets.
• Inspect systems and diagnose issues.
• Update electronic records with photos, notes, estimates, etc.
• Communicate with homeowners to discuss findings and plan repairs.
• Identify problems, educate homeowners, and sell solutions.

What We’re Looking for in a Maintenance & Service Tech

• A valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Basic mechanical and tool knowledge.
• Ability to communicate effectively in person and in writing.
• Independent thinking and problem-solving skills.
• A proactive, can-do attitude and a willingness to stay busy.
• A dedication to providing the highest standards of customer service.
• Proficiency with technology and ability to learn software.
• An attention to organization, details, and follow-up.
• The ability to independently lift/carry 50lbs.
• Basic construction and carpentry knowledge (preferred).
• Sales experience in the home improvement industry (preferred).

Working Conditions

• Driving between office and jobsites in company service vehicles.
• All seasonal weather conditions, including rain, snow, and extreme heat.
• Small, tight, dark, damp areas of the home.
• Physical Requirements: Standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, reaching, stooping, crouching, kneeling, climbing, etc.
