Maintenance Technician

Position Responsibilities

• Responsible for maintenance responsibilities on the property.
• Ensure that vacant units are turned over in a timely fashion.
• Inspect property on a regular basis to ensure all repair work is done properly, safely, and in a timely manner.
• Participate in the emergency maintenance on-call schedule.

Maintenance Duties Include

• Repairs to building appliances and fixtures;
• change locks;
• replace floor tile;
• unstop clogged drains;
• repair or replace plumbing fixtures;
• patch holes in walls;
• replace faucet washers;
• perform roof repairs;
• spot paint exteriors;
• paint building interiors;
• assist resident manager,
• operate lawn care equipment;
• clean unit interiors;
• perform miscellaneous carpentry repairs;
• perform minor masonry duties;
• maintain supplies and records.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum two years maintenance experience
• Willingness to perform any task that is required (i.e., janitorial, gardening, etc.)
• Basic construction
• Familiarity with carpentry and painting, electrical and plumbing
• Good communication skills
• Ability to interact with a wide and diverse range of people.
• Spanish speaking a plus!
