Maintenance Technician

About the role

Tex Tech Industries in North Monmouth is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic to join their growing and evolving leading global manufacturing facility. This role operates in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Repair, maintenance and installation of production equipment, plant services equipment, buildings and other plant facilities.
• Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by preventive maintenance.
• Ability to understand and follow operations manuals, manufacturer’s instructions and troubleshoot malfunctions.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

Requirements

• Proven skills in mechanics, millwright, carpentry, plumbing, welding, and fabrication.
• Must have or be willing to obtain a Maine State High Pressure Boiler License (Tex Tech will pay for the process and once completed will receive a pay increase).
• Must have the ability to work independently, possess strong mechanical and carpentry knowledge as well as general knowledge of preventive maintenance, light plumbing, electrical, HVAC and unit turnover work.
• Must have basic hand tools, be able to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders up to 20 feet and work in tight spaces.
• Experience with computers is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience with mechanical or preventive maintenance: 1 year (Preferred)

Skills

• Proven skills in mechanics, millwright, carpentry, plumbing, welding, and fabrication.

Schedule
