Location: Terre Haute, IN, US, 47803. Property: Terre Haute Casino Resort features 1,000 slot machines; 35 table games including blackjack, craps, roulette, and poker tables; a 122-room luxury hotel with pool; and 5 restaurants and 6 bars.

About the role

Job Summary Maintenance Technician Full-Time Position Must be able to work evenings and weekends Candidate is responsible to assist the Facilities department in order to perform maintenance service and repairs in the areas of plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, electrical and vehicle servicing.

Responsibilities

• Perform assigned work according to tickets received and projects as outlined by management while striving to minimize guest, team member and operational impact and adhering to policies and guidelines specific to work areas which may be regulated.
• Ability to manage time effectively to complete a large number of varied tasks in many different work areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Candidate must be knowledgeable in the procedures and required safety measures necessary to complete daily tasks.
• Candidate must have knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the maintenance field.

Requirements

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and PC’s are preferred.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Vocational skills desired.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

• The noise level can be loud.
• Candidate will be exposed to smoke when on areas within the smoking patio.
• Candidate must be organized and be able to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
• The employee will be required to sit, stoop, bend, climb, reach and stand for extended periods of time.
• Employee must have excellent dexterity of hands and fingers to complete daily tasks.
• Employee is required to lift and carry up to 50lbs independently and more than 50lbs with assistance.
• Employee must be able to talk and hear in order to ensure proper communication.
• This job requires strong vision skills, including close vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus.
