About the role
Tampa Family Health Centers is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to support maintenance operations across all TFHC locations, including medical, dental, and administrative sites. This role is responsible for performing routine repairs, preventive maintenance, and assisting with facility operations to ensure safe, functional, and efficient environments across the organization.
Essential Responsibilities
- Perform basic maintenance and repairs across all TFHC locations
- Inspect equipment, facilities, and fleet vehicles to ensure proper functionality
- Complete preventive maintenance and identify repair needs
- Transport vehicles for routine and unscheduled service as needed
- Aid with office moves, furniture setup, and equipment relocation
- Maintain inventory of tools and spare parts for routine repairs
- Document mileage and maintenance activities as required
- Provide recommendations for repairs or replacements as needed
- Support additional facility operations including courier services and general support
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required (GED accepted)
- Valid unrestricted Florida driver’s license required
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Ability to speak, read, and write English fluently
- Must meet all requirements to operate company vehicles, including maintaining an acceptable driving record
- Successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening and background check
Skills & Abilities
- Basic knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, and general maintenance
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Work Environment
- On-site role with travel between TFHC locations
- May include exposure to clinical environments and standard maintenance conditions
- Physical activity including lifting, bending, and moving equipment
