Maintenance Technician

Brief Description

Tradehouse at Bulverde Marketplace is hiring an experienced apartment Maintenance Technician to join their service team. Candidates must have at least 2-3 years experience completing work orders at a multifamily community with Class-A property experience preferred, Universal or Type 2 EPA Certification and valid Driver's License required. Must participate in bi-weekly on call rotation and weekend grounds hours rotation. Strong HVAC and appliance troubleshooting and repair experience required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for maintaining the cleaned and repaired condition of the property interiors, exteriors, and site using company supplied materials and equipment and following manufacturer’s directions for the same.
• Provides support and rotates emergency calls with the Maintenance Lead.
• Makes ready units as needed to ensure unit availability for leasing efforts.
• Supports Maintenance Supervisor with all checklists and completes projects as assigned.
• Updates all relevant systems of work order and make ready statuses for proper tracking and reporting.
• Responds to after hours and emergency work order calls.

• Troubleshoots diagnoses and corrects minor heating failures (i.e., replace heat strips, exchangers, thermo couplings, boilers, tube bundles, etc).
• Completes preventative maintenance as necessary.
• Troubleshoots diagnoses and corrects minor appliance failures (i.e., change out or repair dishwasher motors, garbage disposals, ice makers, stove elements, thermo couplings, etc).
• Repairs minor electrical problems (i.e., change out switches, receptacles, fixtures, etc).
• Maintains high voltage 110-220 volt.
