Maintenance Technician

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair equipment, to include: electronic controls, motors, PLC, electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
  • Complete Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM) on applicable machines.
  • Maintain an inventory of service and repair parts.
  • Maintains accurate and computerized records of services, repairs, and modifications on equipment.
  • Design and install modifications or retrofits to enhance safety and efficiency of plant equipment, as needed.
  • Able to operate various types of welding tools, hand tools, and power tools.
  • Able to read and understand drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a collaborative manner with customers, suppliers, co-workers, and management.

Job Requirements/Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3+ years of experience in a related field
  • Minimum of two years of experience in troubleshooting, repair, and servicing of equipment
  • Able to read electrical and hydraulic schematics
  • Good hearing and ability to see well (use of corrective hearing aids or lenses allowed)
  • Basic computer knowledge (Windows, email, internet, etc.)
  • Basic math skills
  • Reading skills (Basic instructional and technical information) - OR - An acceptable combination of education and experience

Physical Demands of Position

  • This position requires walking, sitting or standing to a significant degree.
  • Must have the ability to lift 70 pounds from floor to waist, carry 50 pounds, and push and/or pull up to 100 pounds.
  • Must have the ability to climb ladders and/or stairs.
  • Stooping, crouching, kneeling and bending.
  • Handling, feeling, and gripping would be required for some activities.
  • Visual acuity is required to inspect work completed.
  • This role may be subject to internal and external environmental conditions.
