Maintenance Technician

Description

The Maintenance Technician is part of the team that maintains and optimizes equipment reliability to ensure production and quality goals are met. Applicants need to possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities to be considered:

Requirements

• Maintain excellent attendance reliability
• Familiarity and experience with motors, drives, contacts, relays, timers, PLC's, PC's.
• Corrugated equipment maintenance experience or related heavy industrial maintenance experience
• Technical understanding and skills with a focus on safety
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance on motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines
• Understanding of control circuits, hydraulics and pneumatics
• Able to remove defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts
• Ensure compliance with all Safety and Quality standards, processes, procedures
• Willing to work a night shift (7pm-7am)
• Willing to work mandatory overtime and weekends, as needed
• Able to remove defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts
• Strong reasoning and problem-solving skills
• Awareness of OSHA standards for electrical safety

Education

• Corrugating and manufacturing experience, a plus
• Associate's degree or higher in Industrial Maintenance, Machining, or a related field preferred
• Demonstrated advanced training or certification in the maintenance mechanical/electrical industry
• Llean manufacturing knowledge, especially 5S
