Maintenance Technician

About the role
Primary duties include providing safe and timely electrical support, preventative maintenance, installation, service, repair, troubleshooting and resolution of multiple operating machines within a manufacturing industrial environment. The ideal candidate will have mechanical and electrical experience, a familiarity with hydraulics and pneumatics and have basic troubleshooting experience with proven ability of machine repair.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot industrial electrical control systems, including diagnosing issues down to the component level.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot AC and DC drive systems.
- Perform PLC troubleshooting and problem-solving.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
- Work with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Install and troubleshoot basic 3-phase motor control circuits.
- Work with sensors, limit switches, and common industrial electrical components.
- Understand bearings and power transmission equipment.
Requirements
- 2–3 years of experience troubleshooting industrial electrical control systems.
- Strong operational knowledge of automated industrial machinery, including:
- Motors (AC & DC)
- Servos
- Pumps (air and electric)
- Drives
- Relays
- 3-phase power systems
- Communication devices
- Industrial/electronic control systems
- Power transmission systems
- PLC troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, supported by strong practical mechanical and electrical aptitude.
- Ability to work independently in a mature, professional manner.
- Flexibility to work varied hours and overtime when needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent; military training or technical school certification preferred.
- Basic welding skills (preferred but not required).
- Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office software.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $29.00–$43.00 per hour, depending on role, level, and location. Candidates are required to undergo a drug screening after receiving a conditional job offer, but before starting employment.
