Maintenance Technician

About the role

Primary duties include providing safe and timely electrical support, preventative maintenance, installation, service, repair, troubleshooting and resolution of multiple operating machines within a manufacturing industrial environment. The ideal candidate will have mechanical and electrical experience, a familiarity with hydraulics and pneumatics and have basic troubleshooting experience with proven ability of machine repair.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot industrial electrical control systems, including diagnosing issues down to the component level.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot AC and DC drive systems.
• Perform PLC troubleshooting and problem-solving.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Work with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Install and troubleshoot basic 3-phase motor control circuits.
• Work with sensors, limit switches, and common industrial electrical components.
• Understand bearings and power transmission equipment.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of experience troubleshooting industrial electrical control systems.
• Strong operational knowledge of automated industrial machinery, including:
  • Motors (AC & DC)
  • Servos
  • Pumps (air and electric)
  • Drives
  • Relays
  • 3-phase power systems
  • Communication devices
  • Industrial/electronic control systems
  • Power transmission systems
• PLC troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, supported by strong practical mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Ability to work independently in a mature, professional manner.
• Flexibility to work varied hours and overtime when needed.
• High school diploma or equivalent; military training or technical school certification preferred.
• Basic welding skills (preferred but not required).
• Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office software.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $29.00–$43.00 per hour, depending on role, level, and location.
