MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

Job Responsibilities/Duties

• Maintains all fire protection systems (fire extinguishers, fire alarms, fire sprinklers, fire dampers, etc.)
• Performs preventative maintenance on the building, plumbing system, electrical system, communications, etc.
• Maintains the physical appearance of buildings, doors, windows, walls, floors, ceilings, painting, etc.
• Maintains a clean and safe work area always.
• Affords assistance to other Maintenance Technicians as needed.
• Utilizes good telephone etiquette (identifying the Department and your name).
• Affords assistance with moving furniture, boxes, and heavy objects.
• Adheres to SignatureCare Policies and Procedures.
• Participates in the monthly department meetings.
• Maintains and takes inventory of supplies and stock as needed to ensure daily operations.
• Responds to fire and disaster codes.
• Maintains the painted finish of walls, doors, frames, etc. throughout the facility.
• May be required to work holidays and weekends as needed.

Performance Expectations

• Interaction with all departments.
• Collaborate with vendors and learn from their knowledge.
• Limited use of outside resources, maintain good Preventive Maintenance (PM) and repair techniques.
