Maintenance Technician

About the role

We are seeking a Maintenance Technician in La Crosse, WI. This role supports the operation of machinery and mechanical equipment in our food manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities

• Aid in the maintenance of production, packaging, and processing equipment.
• Respond to breakdowns and ensure the plant operates safely and in compliance with regulations.
• Read and interpret technical procedures, service manuals, and work orders to perform maintenance and service.
• Conduct preventative maintenance checks and troubleshoot processes as needed.
• Support the operation of line manufacturing support systems and ensure their proper functioning.
• Complete work orders accurately and promptly to maintain high quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area, adhering to sanitation schedules and identifying critical control points.
• Communicate effectively with other departments and management about issues affecting production efficiency.
• Use various tools and equipment to perform maintenance tasks and understand and follow Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Adhere to safety protocols and support safety policies and programs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, with an Associate’s or Technical School Degree in Mechanics, Electrical, Computer Science, or Food Processing preferred.
• At least one (1) year of relevant experience in a food manufacturing environment.
• Understanding of preventative maintenance programs.
• Knowledge of mechanic, pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic electrical principles.
