Responsibilities

  • Meet physical and sensory requirements and work in the described environment.
  • Identify and participate in process improvement initiatives that enhance customer experience, workflow, and the work environment.
  • Perform repairs and maintenance on equipment and supplies.
  • Test emergency generator weekly and monthly as required by state and federal regulations.
  • Follow established safety rules, policies, and procedures of the maintenance department.
  • Maintain the building in good repair and keep it free of hazards related to electrical, plumbing, heating, and cooling systems.
  • Ensure the building complies with federal, state, and local codes and laws.
  • Perform monthly maintenance checks of the building, grounds, and facilities.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and repair work, such as painting, minor carpentry, changing light bulbs, and other tasks.
  • Coordinate maintenance work with other departments.
  • Maintain the grounds by mowing, trimming grass, bushes, and trees; picking up leaves and litter; clearing sidewalks; and addressing erosion.
  • Remain on-call for facility emergencies.
  • Coordinate and participate in fire safety programs and fire drills.
  • Arrange for and manage outside repair, maintenance, and construction services according to procedures.
  • Wash windows and screens outside of the building.
  • Keep work areas and storage rooms neat and orderly.
  • Pick up work order requests daily and establish work priorities.
  • Inspect fire extinguishers every thirty (30) days.
  • Maintain work records and schedules for daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual preventative maintenance.
  • Keep required records and submit them to the Administrator when needed.
  • Cooperate with and support other department supervisors and employees.
  • Complete other special projects and duties as assigned.

Schedule

Shift hours: On-call for facility emergencies as required.
