About the Role

This is a hands-on, working supervisor position where you will lead a team of Maintenance Technicians while completing maintenance work yourself. You’ll manage budgets, vendor relationships, and ensure the community meets Riverstone Communities’ standards for curb appeal and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of Maintenance Technicians while performing hands-on maintenance work
  • Manage an established budget without sacrificing quality
  • Establish and maintain relationships with vendors
  • Perform plumbing work: repair/replace faucets and toilets, operate a sewer cleanout auger, diagnose and repair water leaks
  • Perform electrical work: install light fixtures, GFCI’s, replace breakers/fuses, outlets, and light switches
  • Perform carpentry work: build stairs/ramps, frame doors/windows, install landscaping timbers
  • Complete residential repairs: flooring, siding, skirting, doors, windows, drywall, and painting
  • Oversee curb appeal: pick up trash, groundskeeping (mowing, planting, weeding), and clean outs of homes
  • Read water meters for each home
  • Complete work orders efficiently and timely
  • Take online/virtual training classes
  • Perform day-to-day duties with minimal supervision
  • Adhere to all safety laws and regulations
  • Conduct regular inventory checks on equipment and supplies

Requirements

  • Proven experience leading a team of 2+ members or managing multiple vendor relationships
  • 3+ years of residential or commercial property maintenance OR technical field experience (plumbing, electrical, HVAC)
  • 3+ years of groundskeeping and/or landscaping experience
  • 3+ years of experience in carpentry, painting, flooring, drywalling, windows/doors, roofing, or framing
  • Experience managing a maintenance budget while maintaining quality standards
  • Ability to be very active: walking, bending, standing, and lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Willingness to work outside in all weather conditions
  • Basic technology skills and willingness to learn
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to legally operate a motor vehicle

Specific maintenance knowledge and skills will be tested for accuracy.

Pay

  • Maintenance Supervisor: $59,000–$65,000 per year
  • Level 2 Maintenance Technician: $21.00–$23.50 per hour
