About the Role:
Compensation is $26.00/hour
Responsibilities
- Assists the maintenance team in maintaining the physical integrity of the community.
- Ensures a safe, secure, and comfortable living environment for residents, visitors, and staff.
- Carries out assigned duties in a safe, prompt, and professional manner.
- In the absence of the Maintenance Supervisor, assumes all maintenance responsibilities.
Requirements
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years’ previous experience in property management maintenance, other building maintenance, or related trade.
- Skills: Ability to diagnose problems with and repair major appliances, HVAC systems, basic plumbing, basic electrical, sheet rock, general carpentry, pool care (if required), gutters, wallpaper/painting, and security systems. Basic computer skills, especially knowledge of Microsoft Office products, strong customer service orientation, punctuality, reliability, and ability to handle maintenance-related resident problems.
- Licenses: EPA certifications for refrigerant recycling and Type I & II certifications, valid driver's license and insurance, black seal (if required), CPO (if required).
Qualifications
- Ability to read and write English correctly and fluently.
- Able to perform basic to intermediate mathematical functions.
Skills
- Deals well with people and gets them to feel comfortable quickly.
- Basic computer skills, specifically knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong customer service orientation.
