Help Keep Our Facilities Safe, Functional, and Welcoming
RCMS is seeking a reliable and hands-on Maintenance Technician to support the day-to-day upkeep of our healthcare facilities and residential properties. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems, working independently, and taking pride in maintaining safe, clean, and well-functioning environments.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance tasks
- Complete minor carpentry, painting, patching, and general facility upkeep
- Troubleshoot and resolve basic building and equipment issues
- Replace light bulbs, air filters, ceiling tiles, and similar components
- Assist with landscaping, mowing, and exterior property maintenance
- Help maintain a safe and compliant work environment
- Support office moves, furniture assembly, event setup, and special projects
- Coordinate access for vendors and contractors when needed
- Maintain organized workspaces, storage areas, and maintenance records
- Provide occasional backup support for environmental services staff
Requirements
- Previous maintenance, facilities, or handyman experience
- Comfortable using hand and power tools safely
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Dependable team player with a positive attitude
- Healthcare facility experience is a plus, but not required
Physical Requirements
This role involves active, hands-on work including lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing ladders, bending, kneeling, and working in a variety of indoor and outdoor environments.
