About the Role
Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain manufacturing and facility equipment/machinery to ensure efficient, safe operating conditions. Provide guidance and support regarding equipment operation to team members to facilitate scheduled production volume within acceptable safety, quality, and scrap levels. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
Responsibilities
- Interpret drawings, operation manuals, wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, and/or manufacturer’s specifications.
- Diagnose problems with production machinery and equipment and determine corrective actions.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all types of machines and equipment, including conveyors, presses, programmable logic controllers, and electrical/electronic circuitry.
- Maintain machinery and equipment in efficient, safe operating condition to uphold quality and production standards.
- Perform total predictive and preventative maintenance to ensure smooth and efficient operation of machines and systems.
- Schedule and perform machine teardown for repairs and modifications.
- May dismantle, move, install, and erect equipment.
- Operate various types of equipment related to maintenance functions, such as forklifts, welders, and cutting torches.
- Promote teamwork and contribute to team efforts by communicating actions, irregularities, and ongoing needs.
- Keep supervision informed of any problems associated with maintenance activities and support problem resolution and continuous improvement.
- Aid in training employees in maintenance-related duties.
- Perform general housekeeping tasks; keep work area clean, organized, and free of scrap and debris.
