We are looking for a Maintenance Technician with at least 2 years of experience in residential property management maintenance and repair, including plumbing, electrical, appliance, carpentry, and painting. This role reports to the Maintenance Supervisor.
Responsibilities
- Complete service requests in a timely manner
- Perform make-readies and general repair/maintenance tasks (plumbing, electrical, drywall, appliance, carpentry, HVAC, and painting)
- Maintain grounds and pools
- Troubleshoot service requests
- Perform equipment maintenance
- Walk the property regularly and report any liability issues immediately
- Communicate effectively both in person and in writing
- Be "on call" periodically for emergencies, including weekends and holidays
- Handle physical workload and work in various weather conditions
- Operate hand and power tools safely
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of residential property management maintenance and repair experience
- 18+ months of education, on-the-job training, or formal training in general apartment maintenance and repair (HVAC experience preferred)
- Ability to lift 50 pounds without assistance
- Reliable transportation (a must)
- Valid driver's license and good driving record (preferred)
- Manual dexterity and coordination for operating tools and equipment
- Deadline and detail-oriented with strong troubleshooting skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a team environment
