Maintenance Technician

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician with at least 2 years of experience in residential property management maintenance and repair, including plumbing, electrical, appliance, carpentry, and painting. This role reports to the Maintenance Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Complete service requests in a timely manner
• Perform make-readies and general repair/maintenance tasks (plumbing, electrical, drywall, appliance, carpentry, HVAC, and painting)
• Maintain grounds and pools
• Troubleshoot service requests
• Perform equipment maintenance
• Walk the property regularly and report any liability issues immediately
• Communicate effectively both in person and in writing
• Be "on call" periodically for emergencies, including weekends and holidays
• Handle physical workload and work in various weather conditions
• Operate hand and power tools safely

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of residential property management maintenance and repair experience
• 18+ months of education, on-the-job training, or formal training in general apartment maintenance and repair (HVAC experience preferred)
• Ability to lift 50 pounds without assistance
• Reliable transportation (a must)
• Valid driver's license and good driving record (preferred)
• Manual dexterity and coordination for operating tools and equipment
• Deadline and detail-oriented with strong troubleshooting skills
• Ability to multitask and work in a team environment
