About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Plant Operations Technician (Maintenance Technician) to join our team. This role assists the Plant Operations Director with maintaining the care of the community facility for residents, employees, and the public. Responsibilities include lawn care, painting, remodeling, plumbing, and other general building maintenance. The ideal candidate must be knowledgeable in all areas of building maintenance and able to work independently.
Responsibilities
- Follows and upholds the community's philosophy and goals to maintain, improve, and/or enhance each resident's quality of care and quality of life
- Follows and upholds policies and procedures of the community
- Attends and participates in facility meetings and in-service training programs as assigned
- Follows infection control guidelines
- Observes residents' rights, including privacy and dignity
- Promotes positive public relations with residents, family members, and guests
- Follows safety policies, ensuring resident safety
- Follows and understands the community's Emergency Preparedness plans
- Maintains, repairs, and services all facility equipment and furnishings as required
- Assists with transportation of the community's residents as requested
- Possesses the ability to operate machinery and equipment in a safe manner
- Maintains and cleans all flooring material
- Assists in laundry and housekeeping departments as needed
- Assists with resident transportation/driving duties as needed, including driving residents to and from appointments, assisting residents on and off the vehicle, and pushing wheelchairs as necessary
- May be on-call as assigned
