Maintenance Technician

Primary Job Responsibilities

• Practice proper PPE compliance, maintain a safe working record and environment
• Immediately communicate unsafe conditions, acts or injuries to Maintenance Manager or Plant Manager
• Practice proper forklift operation
• Maintain facility housekeeping
• Maintain and build job skills through company training programs
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment that is not operating properly
• Ensure that all equipment is kept in a proper and safe working condition
• Direct and ensure that all scheduled preventive maintenance duties are completed timely
• Communicate with all plant and support staff

Job Skills

• Advanced industrial mechanical, electrical, plumbing, hydraulic and pneumatic skills including troubleshooting
• Understanding of PLP manufacturing process including troubleshooting
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with and communicate to other plant personnel
• Understanding of purpose and proper use of small hand and power tools
• Strong time management and task prioritization skills
• Ability to troubleshoot simple and complex system
• Basic computer skills
• Self-motivation

Education Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• Continued education certifications, preferred

Preferred Experience

• 3-5 years of experience as line operator or similar training/experience
• Plastic pipe extrusion and/or CNC machine experience
• Previous maintenance experience in manufacturing industry

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift 75 pounds
• Full range of body motion including twisting, bending, reaching, squatting, and the ability to mount/dismount industrial equipment
• Able to perform physical labor for extended periods of time in extreme temperatures
