Maintenance Technician

About the role

The selected candidate will assist in preserving the good operating condition of the company's production equipment. This is done through regular preventative maintenance and break/fix work, as necessary. Because of this, prior experience working with equipment in the box/packaging industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining the good operating condition of the company's production equipment through regular preventative maintenance and break/fix work.
• Perform facility maintenance tasks including painting, landscaping, and minor plumbing/electrical repairs.
• Ensure the proper functioning of mechanical systems on the premises.
• Make periodic visits to select customers to perform maintenance/repairs on previously sold equipment (stretch wrappers, paper packing, strapping machines, etc.).

Requirements

• A High School diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
• A valid drivers license is required.
• A certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology, or a relevant field will be a plus.
• A minimum of five years of industrial maintenance experience is required.
• Prior experience in the corrugated and/or packaging industry is preferred.

Skills/Abilities

• Proven experience as a maintenance technician.
• Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and other mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of industrial equipment, preventative maintenance processes, and methods.
• Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills.
• Lifting capacity of 25 to 50 pounds.

Pay

$30.00 - $31.00 per hour.

Schedule

Full Time Regular.
