Maintenance Technician
About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our patients as a Maintenance Technician at Perimeter Behavioral of Missouri - Saint Robert. In this role, the Maintenance Technician will be responsible in ensuring a safe, functional, and comfortable environment of care for adolescents facing behavioral challenges and medically complex physical conditions.
Responsibilities
- Aid the teacher in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and instructional strategies tailored to each adolescent’s unique needs.
- Support students during classrooms activities and lessons, providing guidance and encouragement to foster engagement and learning.
- Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment that promotes positive behavior and emotional regulation among students.
- Collaborate with the teacher and staff to monitor student progress and identify areas needing additional support.
- Facilitate communication with students, ensuring they understand instructions and feel comfortable expressing their needs and concerns.
- Aid in preparing instructional materials and resources necessary for classroom activities and lessons.
Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- A valid Missouri Driver's License is preferred.
- At least twenty-one (21) years of age.
- Experience in a mental health setting (preferably with adolescents), and knowledge of child/adolescent growth and development, and the ability to relate to adolescents with substance abuse or mental health problems.
