Maintenance Technician

Peabody Properties seeks an experienced Maintenance Technician to join its team at an apartment community in Boston's Fenway.

About the role

The Maintenance Technician evaluates and responds to a broad range of maintenance needs to assist the Service Manager with the efficient operation of the property. Responsibilities include routine, preventative, and emergency maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and appliance repair
• Locks and keys maintenance
• Basic carpentry, painting, and drywall repair
• Janitorial duties, grounds maintenance, and snow removal
• Maintaining cleanliness in common areas and assigned spaces
• Maintaining exterior grounds according to company standards
• On-call coverage for emergencies after hours, weekends, and holidays
• Responding to and remedying maintenance issues in a timely manner

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in facilities maintenance
• Effective communication skills in English (written and verbal)
• Solid computer skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to take initiative and work independently
• Reliable vehicle to perform essential duties
