Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Maintenance Technician position at Novolex is responsible for all machine maintenance, including preventative maintenance, tier 1 repair of production equipment, utilities, and facilities. This role requires a strong manufacturing background with demonstrated mechanical aptitude and process troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventative and corrective maintenance on production equipment, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Diagnoses and troubleshoots equipment-related processing issues using PLC (Allen Bradley preferred), VFD, and low voltage electrical systems.
• Generates reports and locates spare parts using a computer-based inventory system.
• Assists in the training of other employees and performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• One year maintenance experience.
• Basic mechanical knowledge.
• Welding experience.
• Ability to use measuring devices and forklift operator experience.
• Knowledge of pneumatics and vacuum.
• Highly organized, problem solver, strong written and verbal communication skills, able to handle multiple tasks, and strong sense of urgency.

Qualifications

• Associates degree preferred.
• 1+ years technician experience within the Industrial industry, with plastics experience preferred.
• Must have own tools and be able to use them safely and effectively.

• Analytical, problem-solving, and strong technical skills including mechanical, electrical, and PLC programming.
