The Owens Corning Rockford Extruded Polystyrene Insulation Facility is a high-performing, non-union plant with world-class standards in safety, reliability, and equipment technology. Non-union plant employing about 70 employees across 4 shifts; Maintenance team consists of 10 employees. Schedule: 3 days on; 4 days off; 4 days on; 3 days off
Hours: 6p-6a (Night Shift)
Overtime as required

Position Description Summary

The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing complex mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on production equipment throughout the facility. This role requires strong technical capability, problem-solving skills, thinking outside the box, and the ability to work independently on shift.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3 - 5 years of industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing, heavy industry, or related environment
• High school diploma or GED required
• Technical schooling or certifications in Industrial Maintenance, Electronics, Mechatronics, Electromechanical Technology, Automated Systems, or related field
• Proven experience troubleshooting both mechanical and electrical industrial systems
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision
• Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills

Physical Requirements

• Lift up to 50 lbs routinely without assistance
• Stand/walk for extended periods on concrete surfaces
• Work 12-hour shifts in hot/cold industrial environments
• Use PPE including steel-toe boots, safety glasses, hearing protection, and long sleeves
