Maintenance Technician

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Works with Facilities management to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions.
• Contact vendors, schedule maintenance visits, and request pricing information with management approval.
• Develops special projects with Facilities management, including proposing new equipment and working with suppliers on specifications and pricing.
• Inspects, tests, and troubleshoots machinery and equipment to diagnose malfunctions.
• Dismantles and reassembles defective machines and equipment.
• Maintains maintenance inventory, supplies, and equipment.
• Documents maintenance work tickets, including time and costs, using the computerized maintenance management program.
• Cleans and lubricates machinery and parts.
• Installs and repairs wiring and electrical components.
• Installs appliances, machinery, and equipment.
• Assembles, installs, and repairs plumbing.
• Fabricates and repairs wooden structures.
• Performs general maintenance tasks.
• Conducts routine maintenance on equipment and building systems.
• Reports to Facilities Management and corrects unsafe work practices or conditions.
• Assists with moving equipment and furniture when needed.

• Available to work when needed, including weekends, holidays, and nights.

Education And Experience

• Experience in two or more of the following skills: insulation, welding, machine and equipment repair, carpentry, and electrical work.
• Experience may also include planning and laying out work relating to repairs; repairing electrical and/or mechanical equipment; installing, aligning, and balancing new equipment; and repairing buildings, floors, or stairs.
• A Valid Driver’s License.
• Able to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming/racing license.
