Maintenance Technician

About the role

Nxt Property Management is seeking a property maintenance technician to join The Park Apartments in Bountiful. The Maintenance Technician reports to the Apartment Management Supervisor and interfaces with apartment residents.

Responsibilities

• Plumbing: repair, replace or install faucets, pipes, hot water tanks, toilets, garbage disposals, dishwashers, water-dispensing refrigerators, and washing machines
• Electrical: repair, replace or install power switches, fuses, wall sockets, ceiling lights, ceiling fans, and climate control systems
• Wall repair: repair small and large drywall holes, texture walls to blend with existing walls, and paint
• Appliance repair: repair, replacement or installation of major household appliances
• Grounds keeping: daily cleanup of trash and dog waste on property
• Customer service: professional, prompt and courteous correspondence with residents and vendors when scheduling and completing work orders
• Time management: coordinates daily and weekly with property manager to prioritize work orders and “Turn” schedule; alerts Property Manager of any potential liabilities or repairs
• Willing to perform all tasks assigned by Manager

Requirements

• 6 months to 2 years experience in apartment maintenance
• Attention to detail, organizational, time-management and problem solving skills
• Superior customer service skills; ability to manage difficult customers and/or situations
• Ability to read, write, understand and communicate in English
• General computer knowledge preferred
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to include weekends, evenings and holidays

Pay

From $20.00/hour to $22.00/hour; depends on experience and skill level.
