Maintenance Technician
About the Role
Nosco is seeking a Maintenance Technician for first shift at our Pleasant Prairie, WI facility. As an employee-owner, you will oversee mechanical, electrical, and facility maintenance and repairs to positively impact efficiency, quality, on-time delivery, profitability, and safety.
Responsibilities
- Work with Operators to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electronics problems on production equipment and make repairs as needed.
- Perform and document equipment upgrades, replacements, and part replacements.
- Obtain quotes, provide recommendations, schedule, and supervise facility maintenance work conducted by outside vendors.
- Communicate with Nosco management and the property management group regarding all facility repairs, damages, and modifications.
- Participate in the installation of new equipment.
- Order and maintain spare parts inventory for production equipment and the facility.
- Verify completion of monthly preventive maintenance programs on all presses as outlined in the cGMP Manual and other related cGMP documents.
- Adhere to all company safety procedures and regulations, as well as all OSHA guidelines, while performing duties.
- Keep up with technology, learn new skills as necessary, and advise management on important trends or developments.
- Maintain the maintenance shop in a clean, orderly, and “audit-ready” condition.
- Available “on call” for occasional equipment breakdown emergencies.
- Perform other duties as requested.
Requirements
- Ability to read schematics and technical drawings.
- Previous maintenance experience, preferably in a lean/printing environment.
- Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repair skills.
- Well-developed interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to effectively work with individuals throughout the company.
- Experience with welding and machining.
Qualifications
- Physical requirements: twisting, turning, squeezing, grasping, reaching, reaching over equipment, kneeling, crawling, pulling, extended periods of standing, ability to lift 50 pounds, long periods of concentration.
- Speaking, hearing, and vision are essential to performing job functions.
